Collision Claims Continue to Increase

In a sobering trend for insurers, but a good sign for repairers, Fast Track reporting data from the Independent Statistical Service, showed that claims and losses in 4Q-2021 continued to rebound from the Covid impacted results from 2020. 

As reported in Collision Week, collision coverage claims for the fourth quarter of 2021 were up 17% compared to the fourth quarter in 2020. There were more than 233,000 more collision claims in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter in 2020.
