The report also found that over 85% of stolen vehicles are eventually recovered. However, law enforcement officials are urging car owners to stay vigilant because car thefts are still on the rise. The NICB is recommending that car owners take steps to protect their vehicles, such as parking in well-lit areas and using anti-theft devices.
