China’s Zeekr tackles EV range anxiety with 10-minute battery charge

Zeekr, a Chinese automaker, has made significant progress in addressing electric car range anxiety by introducing a new battery that can charge up to 80% in just 10.5 minutes using their V3 ultra-fast charging station. This breakthrough technology aims to alleviate the concerns of EV drivers who worry about running out of battery power before reaching their destination. 

The new batteries will be available in the 2025 Zeekr 007 sedan, offering quick charging even in cold weather conditions. Even in challenging cold weather conditions as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius, the batteries can still charge to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. This impressive performance demonstrates the advanced capabilities of Zeekr’s battery technology and its potential to address the limitations of current EV charging infrastructure.
