State Farm to Test Mitchell Estimating in Ohio

State Farm is piloting the Mitchell estimating platform for a select group of their Select Service collision repair centers in Ohio. This test aims to improve customer experience by exploring new ways to write estimates and source parts. The program will leverage Mitchell’s existing integration with PartsTrader, so the current parts sourcing requirement remains unchanged. Repair shops not mandated to use PartsTrader will utilize Mitchell’s Integrated Parts solution.

This is a limited test, but State Farm hints at potentially expanding the program based on industry feedback and their goal to provide a multi-platform approach for different repair facilities. While only a portion of Ohio’s Select Service shops are involved for now, this test could signal a broader shift in how State Farm handles repairs in the future.
