USAA has completed the rollout of CCC’s Parts Parity program to all STARS network locations, introducing enhanced parts sourcing functionality within CCC ONE. According to CCC Vice President Mark Fincher, the program enables insurers to share their preferred parts suppliers with repair facilities, allowing shops to access a wider range of alternative parts when creating estimates. The program also features the ability to refresh parts availability and pricing without needing to delete and re-add parts, and USAA has indicated that network facilities would receive training information through Entegral.
In a related development, Honda and Acura Certified Collision Centers have been mandated to implement a new Replacement Part Customer Disclosure Notice starting January 1. The notice explicitly defines different types of replacement parts and warns that while aftermarket, recycled, and remanufactured parts may appear similar to OEM parts, their quality, performance, safety, and compatibility with Honda and Acura vehicles cannot be verified. Honda’s position statement continues to recommend repairs using genuine OEM parts to maintain the vehicle’s original fit, function, safety, and structural integrity.
